Need some help with 4axis milling post processor

Hello,

We have an auerbach milling machine with has a rotating spindle around Y axis.

It uses heidenhain TNC 426/430M.

The situation is that my coleagues bought the machine without a post. They found one that worked, just without the 4th axis. I'm new in this company and decided to try to make it work.

So i found the info about activating the 4th axis in the post processor, found a post that works for our machine.

The contoller uses cycle 19 for rotating planes. I have achieved that we can drill simple wholes with angles without changing tools by hand, but we still can't wrap faces.

This is the post processor that looks closest to working:

One small problem that I can't understand is that when I make the g code it stops on the first line and says "feed rate missing".

This is the begining of the code:

0 BEGIN PGM 1001 MM
1 BLK FORM 0.1 Z X-56 Y-51 Z-102.401
2 BLK FORM 0.2 X+56 Y+51 Z+0
3 ; -------------------------------------
4 ; Tools
5 ; #1 D=6.35 CR=0.381 - bullnose end mill
6 ; -------------------------------------
7 ;
8 CYCL DEF 19.0 WORKING PLANE
9 CYCL DEF 19.1 B+0
10 * - 2D Pocket1
11 M5
12 TOOL CALL 1 Z S7330
13 L M140 MB MAX
14 M126
15 M3
16 L B+3.303 R0 FMAX
17 CYCL DEF 7.0 DATUM SHIFT
18 CYCL DEF 7.1 X-5.808
19 CYCL DEF 7.2 Y-0.549
20 CYCL DEF 7.3 Z+63.228
21 CYCL DEF 19.0 WORKING PLANE

Could anyone please help somehow.  Loosing hope here:)

Hi @Anonymous,

Can you attach the full output NC code? I can then see on what line the feed rate is missing, and can advise how the post can be modified to fix this.

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for sending those files. I can't see anything obviously wrong with the output NC code, I was looking for looking for a line after FMAX which had a missing feed rate, but cannot find any instances of this.

Do you have any example 4-axis NC programs (possibly from the machine supplier) that run on the machine without the error? We can then compare the files to see what needs to be changed.

Hi, @Tom.Hemans ,

It's sad but we don't have a single program. The machine was bought at an auction, so nothing was really passed down to us.

On the bright side I was studying the manual and found this. Might be helpfull. I'm guessing just write F(number) near rotation line and maybe should work.
