need help with tool path for what i thought was easy :(

can somebody suggest a way to mill the depressed portion as shown.  I was hoping to use a 1/2" diameter end mill.

i tried pocket but it left and area unmachined 😞

This is easy if you have a clean model! If I turn your setup over all I need is to select the face at the bottom of the pocket.

The trouble with the other side is you have a thin sliver of material along the long side of the pocket, this creates a closed pocket on the long edge.

I looked at your design but can not make sense of what you've done. You should probably start again using this design for reference. You only need one sketch and one extrude new body then 2 extrude cuts. I've attached the design with a pocketing op for the other side to the one you were trying.
