Couple of things:

1) In your Setup, you do not have anything selected for your Model. This is incorrect, and fortunately will yield a warning in the future. You want to make sure you are ALWAYS selecting the model to be machined

2) Your model consists of many un-stitched faces. Using the Patch > Stitch tool, we will stitch it together and turn it into a watertight solid.

I'd use 3D Parallel to finish the slot. You may want to extend the edges of the groove to allow for better entry conditions. See attached file

It seems to work, however when simulating the groove isnt machined to the size. Almost like stock to leave option was on.

How do i extend the boundaries so the tool enters from the side of the stock and not from the top?

Extending them in sketch ended up with some weird toolpath going from the bottom of the stock.

File attached.

Just demonstrated this in another post. What I do is use Boundary Fill set to new component to create a copy of the part and modify\defeature the copy to use in ops, select under Model on the geometry tab. File's attached.

Edit. Updated file and changed pocket to Model Top not Stock Top.

Looked at your first model with the pocket and updated file to include pocketing.

Clipboard02.pngNote Stock Contour and boundary selections so plunges are outside of the part.

Another updated file.

I noticed while running the simulation the face op did nothing, you had it set to stock top, was that correct? I've set it to model top in the attached.
