Does anyone have an updated fanuc generic post for 4th axis that uses A-axis. My machine does not support G68.2 and I can't find a post that will work. Any help or information is much appreciated.

Ok, could you give me a hint as to what I'm supposed to be seeing in this short clip?

In the short clip, the 4th axis never changes directions for cutting the 2d wrap pocket or wrap contour. It just spins in one direction. So, I'm not sure what to do. The 4th axis in the machine has never had any problems up to this point.

So I'm also sending another snippet of the code produced. The top part I have circled, there are no helical moves, it plunges straight in to the part and then the other part I have circled the rotary just moves in one direction. The code doesn't match the toolpathG code snip.jpg

There are no helical moves at this point, as the tool is still .100" above the part. Your part height (of that face) is 5.875", your toolpath is plunging to .100" above that.

In your second callout, that is the helical motion that you're seeing. In fact, there's only a little bit over 4 degrees of  -A- axis motion there.

But this is the first time programming it with Fusion, is that the case?

What have you been using in the past to program your machine?

I'm looking at the 2D Contour code and it doesn't look that out of the ordinary. It starts at approximately A330. degrees, machines to A309. and then back to A350. finally finishing back off at A330.

I've programmed it with Fusion 360 in the past as well, this is just the first time I've programmed it to run simultaneously.

So I just figured something out, when I tell the rotary axis to travel to A330 it goes there, when I tell it to go to A327 it travels all the way around instead of reversing back, how do I fix that?

You're referring to commands issued at the machine itself, either thru MDI or a program? This is something that would be specific to your machine and controller, so I would suggest calling your machine tool dealer.
