Multiple assembly's therefore multiple setups - Folder feature please!

Hello Fusion team,

I have a request/suggestion and I think I wont be the only one that will appreciate it.

I am currently working in a file where I have 10 different assembly's - its a jig fixture for a 4th axis machine, uses the same base and then there are 10 different products being milled on this fixture that has therefore 10 different jigs that can go on top of it. Since its all modeled in one file - multiple assembly's, each assembly is about 6 to 12 different parts. When I got to Manufacture I'm going to get a little lost :slightly_smiling_face:

So I take part 1 from assembly one, create a setup, do the CAM work on one side of that part, create setup 2 for the other side and so on... once I'm done with assembly 1, I have 5 setups, and I go to assembly 2, and so on... well my suggestion/request is, can you put a feature in so I can group the different setups according to their assembly's - Folders.

Folder 1 - Setups 1 through 5 - I can name that folder whatever my assembly ones part number is and so on.

This way I wont have 50 different setups one after another and then click away till I find the one I need if I am remaking one of the parts.

I hope you understood what I mean.

br,

kajick

Yes!

I also would Like to be able to put different setups into folders, but for the cases where we have different machines that run the same part for example, I would have the setups for on machine in one folder and the setups for the other machine in another.

the machines run different feeds/speeds/toolnumbers/workholding

This is exactly what we need! There is already the functionality of adding folders to a setup1 for example, allowing you to  group toolpaths within the setup.

But it doesn't allow you to create a folder in the main "Setups" Tab, like just let me put a folder there! Its super annoying having multiple components with multiple setups all in one un-organised list. Same goes for the "NC Programs" Tab.
And before the Autodesk employees chime in with "part containerization method", even with 2 or 3 components in a relatively basic assembly having 12+ setups and NC programs in a long list is still very annoying.

See example of how it should ideally function below:

-Setups:

--Folder (Example Part 1):

---Op1 Setup

------Toolpath

------Toolpath

---Op2 Setup

------Toolpath

------Toolpath

------Toolpath

--Folder (Example Part 2):

---Op1 Setup

------Toolpath

------Toolpath

---Op2 Setup

------Toolpath
