hi everyone Matt here (possibly the worst machinist in the history of throwing semi round bits of steel at a 2 axis lathe!)

I currently have a Phoenix 7130 lathe that runs a MIRL control system and I am looking for a post processor to suit that system (I was advised that Fanuc would work but alas! I am getting the dreaded "illegal g-code warning")

if anyone could point me in the right direction (or even where to start my search) that would be absolutely magic!

cheers,

Matt

(chap who has bought a cnc lathe and now spends his time pressing buttons (ineffectually) and drinking rum to console himself on his uselessness! :slightly_smiling_face:

Hey Matt! I doubt the worst machinist, but I won't argue that point

Do you have any sample g-code that you HAVE run on that machine, either from the prior owner or something you cobbled together? Where does it alarm out on the Fanuc post?

hey Mate,

here is some of the existing code on the machine 1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg

Im not sure where it is giving me grief (it only flags illegal code on cycle start for the program, no indication as to what part of the code is the issue)

cheers,

Matt

Does your machine have a "Single Block" option? If so, turning it on will prevent the loading of subsequent blocks into the buffer and will help narrow down what line it's alarming out on.
