I find that speed control to be buggy. Often times it works just fine. Other times, (for me) increasing the speed actually slows it down until I move my mouse off the bar and don't touch anything. Then it picks up speed and goes to warp drive..
Have you tried restarting Fusion, and/or your PC?
Unfortunately, the CAM Simulation tool is actually a licensed third party product, so I'm sure that plays into things. Source: Al Whatmough's comment near the very end
