Hi all my workshop has just had installed a new mazak cv5 500 but I have come up with issue need help to confirm few things
If people can help please
We did a test block program on fusion 360 standard 50mm x50mm block with pocket on all 4 side face and 5 mm chamfer around the top
We download the mazak vc 500 post that has 5axis
Set are parts datum to machine center in x and y as we have lang plate installed and set up set z axis as top on the stock material part just to give idea how part set up
So doing are 3d adaptive tool path worked out great then worked on side pocket at 90 degs all fine
But then went to cut 5 axis full sim a swarf cut tool path .
This where it went wrong the part index to what look right starting place in b and c axis but the end mill didn't go to where the material was to cut the part.
So can someone tell me if any one had this issue?
I can add program later on if helps
Just need to know with this post does it g43.4 post from work piece or the table center as it was one the question from mazak engineer/apps that installed it ?
Also notice that when added the machine model to sim the part get better look how machine in fusion 360 was moving it tilted to the right to cut the part (y axis orientation setup datum point to back machine )
And when set the (y-axis orientation to the front) swarf tool path tilt to the left side of the machine
but I am sure when I run the loaded program on my machine (y-axis datum orientation point to the back machine ) the swarf tool path the part on my machine tilt to the left side and end mill was on the right
Will reconfirm this Monday morning but does this mean I missed something or stranger yet the post the b and c axis in reverse?
Can someone help if they have same machine and using the fusion post to run there cv5 500
Any help be great and will double confirm post people using
I will recheck program saved in machine if tilt matchs the same as the machine model simulation does for the cv5 500
Many thanks
Sam
