Making text

hi!

i have made text on a model. when i make engraving or trace on this pattern it will follow the outher lines on the text. like when i try to make the letter 0, the tool will make a line on the outher line of the 0 and the inner line...  how can i make each letter to one pattern for the tool to follow? 

 

as you see on the picture, there is a line around the numbers... how do i make this a ''full'' letter?

Have you tried using a Single Line Text ? Your cutter will follow the text shown in the image below using either the Contour or Trace toolpaths, the single line texts are found above the default Arial, so scroll up to find them.
