Make Grove same width as Diameter of Endmill

I am trying to cut a grove or Dato. I want to use a Flat endmill that is the same width as the grove.

When I try using 2D Contour It won't create a tool path.
If I use grove that is wider than the diameter of the endmill it will create the tool path, with multiple passes.

Am I using the correct tool path for this operation?

I also tried using 2D pocket.  Same result.

Have you tried selecting only one line of the open pockets you are trying to machine?
You might want to splitt the operations into 2 operations so that your tool does not gauge your part at one of your pockets that ends in a wall.

I have attached a little program for you to see what i mean.

You could also link your own program if you would like someone to help you with the problem directly

What is the best way to link the project?

Just Export the file and save it somewhere on your PC and drag the file into the drop zone in the chat.
