Machining Undercut using 45 degree Dovetail

Hello,

I have a part I am trying to machine a undercut using a 45 degree dovetail cutter with the steep and shallow toolpath.

I was using the Autodesk steep and shallow tutorial.  (https://help.autodesk.com/view/fusion360/ENU/courses/AP-STEEP-SHALLOW-3X-UNDERCUT)  All I did was duplicate the tool path that worked and then just switched the tool to a dovetail cutter, but the toolpath is not milling everything like it was with the lollipop cutter.  Is it possible to machine a undercut with a dovetail cutter?
I attached the Fusion 360 file along with 2 screenshots showing the tool path.

Here is a screenshot of how the toolpath originally looked in the tutorial:

with lollipop cutter.PNG

Here is the same toolpath with only the tool changed:

with dovetail.PNG

Please let me know if you need anymore

The problem lies with how the tool has been defined in the tool library.

I'm guessing you used a standard tool but extended the length?

increasing the shoulder length is incorrect, it must remain the same as the flute length

and then the length on the shaft page should be made longer

then it generates correctly

You are 100% correct, that is exactly what I did trying to prove undercuts out before it got to our programmer.

Your recommended changes worked perfectly!

Thanks!
