I am trying to create my first toolpaths with Fusion 360.  For some reason it dives in towards the center at the ends of the part and no matter what setting I change it doesn't seem to change it.  I thought it was either a clearance setting or a lead in or out setting but nothing seems to change it.  I am trying to set up a toolpath for the Penn State pens and I can't have it dive towards the center because it will cut into the steel rod holding the part.  Please advise.

Would you be able to share your Fusion file here?
File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d/.f3z file in your reply.

I don't know if you saw it but I also had an error on the finishing pass. It says "Lead-out has been modified due to a gouge with the remaining stock".

That warning will go away if you turn on "Allow Lead-out to cut Stock", found on the last tab.

Well everything looks good, no cautions but it fails to post out now.

What post processor are you using?

Centroid post.  It posted out before I made the suggested changes; now I get no errors or warnings but now it won't post out.

First off, I do want to make sure that you're using the Lathe post and not the Milling post. LINK to post processor

Secondly: you have the Setup set to "Secondary Spindle". Does your machine have a main and a sub spindle?

Setting it to Primary Spindle (in the Setup) and selecting the Centroid Turning post processor, I get this:

So I am making progress.  I changed the selector for cutting speed and feedrate to accommodate the way that I program and/or read code.  There are two problems I am still having.  First is that at the very beginning of the code it is programming a Speed of 6000 even though I don't see anywhere in the program that I told it 6000. Then for the rest of the code it shows S2000 which is what I put in.  Secondly, I can't figure out if it is posting out in diameter or radius.  As it starts the program, the Z values are fine but when it pulls back to the clearance point it trips the X limit switch.  The x value in the code is 1.55 but it appears to be pulling out around 3 inches from the centerline.

For the first issue, it sounds like it's your max RPM setting in your NC Program tab:

For the second issue, is this something you can change on your control by changing a parameter to be diameter instead of radius? Otherwise, it's going to be a post processor edit

So I changed the settings in the lathe controller to read diameter.  Unfortunately that didn't fix the problem.  I am trying to work with the manufacturer now to see if we can figure out the issue.
