hello

can someone help please.

I'm not sure if this is me or a bug in the cam

I have set up a boring bar tool in my tool library and set up it orientation but when I go to select the tool in Cam the orientation is not correct?

I think the problem is just the tool holder is not drawn correctly, boring tool holders have never been drawn correctly by the way. Have you tried generating a toolpath, this is what I see with a similar setup and it works fine.

If you can't get it to work can you export your F3D file and attach here.

in simulation the tool crashes because of it orientation.

I haven't done a practice run on the lathe yet to see what it actually does.

ive attached the f3d file.

I guess you're drilling a 14mm hole through the part so set the clearance to something nearer that and it simulates fine.

Edit got my radius and diameter mixed up should have said 14mm drill.

The tool orientation is not wrong it's the tool holders are not draw fully or correctly. If you set it up with a triangular tip you'll see what I mean.
