Hello, Im having some trouble with the part-vs-WCS positioning when I open my g-code in Mach3.
When i open the g-code in mach3, i notice that the path is fit to the upper-right (highest x and y) of the part working area (see mach3 screenshot). It doesnt seem to take into account the WCS setup in fusion. The machine acts like what mach3 shows and will machine the profile in the wrong location.
This seems to be an issue with the ramp profiles. I had a similar problem with one of the adaptive 3d profiles, but was able to rectify it buy enabling 'stock contours' with 'nothing' selected.
I believe this may be related: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-manufacture/cam-setup-for-ramp-broken-cutting-beyond-defin...

Can you share the file you're working on here? What post processor are you using? Have you tried running it through something like ncviewer?
Cheers,
Karina
Ive attached the file. The post processor is "CNC router parts (mach3) mill"
So I've made a mistake, this machines excatly where I want it to. the display in mach3 just doesnt outline the whole work-area per whats in fusion. I guess there is no way for it to know (infos not in the g-code) and Ive been troubleshooting nothing.
NCviewer is a neat tool btw, thank you. I loaded the gcode into that, measured the actual part in the router, and did an air cut to confirm.
My exploration into the world of CNC has been very humbling. I blame...myself! thanks for the support.
No problem! I'm glad you were able to figure it out. 🙂
