is it possiable to in fusion to give 2 off set to the same tool

hi all

just wonder on my cv5 500 Mazak 5-axis mill we have an option in the tool list data to make multi-tool (for example 2x tool 15/15a but give them 2 different offsets for finishing 2 different areas on the part

I know I can in my model make a second tool path and add or take stock offset to count change or finish needed then post it to work for the tool

but just wondering if possible to give a tool letter in fusion the matches then Mazak 15 and 15a

or some sort work around like this with fusion that then work with Mazak controller tool data

sam

No, you will need to duplicate the tool and assign a different offset number to it.
