Importing new versions of a model

So i have run into this issue twice now. I receive a model from a customer with a PO and i build the CAM. 2 days later, they send me a new model with a revision to a hole diameter. If i go into fusion and select "import new version" then it wipes out all my cam selections that i spent alot of time building. Talk about frustrating, so is there anyway to import a new version of a model and KEEP the cam? even if i have to select new edges, but it needs to retain the operation steps!

You need to upload your model from your customer then import it into an empty design as a linked part. So if create a project or folder, upload the model in Fusion's data panel. Then create a new design and save to the same folder\project then drag and drop your customer model. Now when you get an update you can update(Import New Version) then linked design.

Man, so that essentially means 2 designs for every part. 1 part design and 1 linked with cam work.
