How to Use the New Toolpath Modification - Move Entry Positions

I'd like to set my start point. But I don't see the Modify option in my toolbar.

Hi

Its under the modify dropdown.

You do need to have purchased the machining Extension for access to the modify features

What toolpath are you trying to change the start position on? Most of the 2D toolpaths have an option on the last tab for "Preferred Entry Position"

I did try that and it just wouldn't change at all.. I had a 29" cut it was making and starting in the middle.
I tried to get it to start at the end, but no luck. I seen that I could download a 14day free trail of the extension I needed
but that was just a rabbit hole I kept going in circuits trying to load it.

Yeah, I don't think the Extension is going to give you what you need.

Would you be able to share your Fusion file here or privately?
File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply. To share the file privately, it's the same process, but email it to me: seth DOT madore AT autodesk DOT com

I think I have it right. It is the first toolpath

No, there's really no changing the start point of an Adaptive such as that. You may be able to create some sketch geometry to force it in a certain way, but that's about it. This is due to the calculation of the toolpath and the parameters involved in this.

May I ask what specific issue you're trying to solve for?

I just didn't like the path it was generating from starting in the middle and not at the end. It added time and unnecessary movements. Nothing wrong with it. I just thought it would be better as I am still learning the CAM side. This is my first time using it
