How to move 2 holes closer together

Ok I am still in the model stage and making a couple aluminum soft jaws for my vice,  I created two holes and extruded them I created a circle and then used sketch dimension to put the hole exactly where I thought they were suppose to be then stopped sketch, then repeat..   Then I realized my soft jaws were a bit longer than the originals, so now I need to bring the 2 holes closer together right now the distance between the 2 hole centers are 3.73"  I need to move them to 2.73" apart,  I know this is a simple function but I cant figure it out..  Thanks fellas..

Well, a lot of the answer is going to depend on how the part is constrained and how you dimensioned the location of the holes.

Here is a quick example oh how you could move holes:

awesome thanks so much I really appreciate it like I said before these are vice jaws, do you think or know if theres an easy way to add and lightly extrude a bunch of little diamond shapes (kinda like a diamond plate) this will be for gripping so that its not just a flat surface..  Another screen show like you just did would be awesome thanks for the help buddy

I will show you how I would do it, but may I ask something? Why are you doing that? Is this thought to have more "bite" in the material? You aren't going to get it with aluminum, as it will just deform at those points. In aluminum, the more unbroken contact you have, the better. There are companies that make hardened serrated jaws or jaw inserts, if that is what you are looking for:. http://www.kurtworkholding.com/plate-serrated-p-911-l-en.html

You would be surprised at how much you can machine with simple aluminum jaws. I've held onto as little as .08" using adaptive cuts, .500 EM, 80ipm .040 RDOC

Sorry man I have been out of pocket for 2 days,  no these are vise jaws for a regular shop vise, I am going to make a set of soft jaws for gunwork cause mine have had it, im also gonna make a set of steel jaws and will use the diamond pattern on them, but mainly just wanted to see how to create a shape and repeat it for a pattern...

I am going to upload a couple pdfs,  there is a glock22 3d file on grab cad and I have measured it all and everything lines up correctly,  my brother has asked me to machine his glock 22 like the one in the photos I am uploading, let me know if your interested in programming and writing the program for me with a milltronics post, the only milling i need is the stuff on the slide ive got everything else finished,  I would pay you..  I just cant find the time to do it, If i was good like you and some of these other guys I could have it done in 20 minutes,  the text font needs to be in nintendo or pretendo both fonts are on DAFONT.com   502-262-0356 if interested,  thanks for all your help already

PS  the other side of the glock slide would just be a mirrored image of what you see on the side in the photo

Are you looking to just engrave the text or are you also looking to machine the cutout above the barrel? (or are you looking to machine the entire thing from bar stock?)
