How to manufacture (CAM) parts individually from the same file

I have a file where I have created 3 parts - not connected.

One part will be milled from 1/2" MDF while the other two will be milled from 1/4" MDF.

These are all in the same part file but not an assembly. (Sorry, I am a long time SW user and may not be calling some things by their correct F360 name).

I am assuming that I will need multiple setups for this - at least 2: one for the 1/2" and one for the 1/4"

I was able to get the 1/2" to show as a single process. I did this by turning off the other two bodies. BUT, when I turn the 1/2" off and have the two 1/4" pieces shown and start the second setup, it still wants to only grab where the 1/2" piece was. It doesn't readjust to what I have on the screen. I hope this makes sense....

I have done some research before asking this question and I can't find exactly what I am looking for.

How can I have it so i can setup and process these two setups properly?

In your setup tab you should have a selection for bodies/components. You can select/unselect the appropriate one for each of the setups. I believe it defaults to all bodies/components in the file.

I think you're describing the bug where setups created after the first default to From Preceding. @seth.madore Any idea when this is getting fixed? This should be quite a high priority as it is something you run into several times a day, probably a few hundred times since in was introduced!

@Anonymous you just need to select one of the other options.

@HughesTooling there's a lot of discussion on how this is being handled, but I don't know when it will get fixed, unfortunately...

Thank you, I was able to figure out the work around. I would have to go through the process to be able to describe, but it was something with right clicking on the bodies and selecting "model" or something to that sort.

Thank you for your reply and sorry for the delayed response.

I am not familiar with the bug that you are referring to, so I am not sure if this falls in line or not. I did, however, find a way to work around the issue.
