Help with a Component Pattern Toolpath

After seeing a demonstration of a component pattern I thought that looks nifty, and simple.

I set up a file and, inserted some components, and attempted to create some component patterns.  After watching more Youtube videos, and failing again and again, I created a simple file and created a some basic geometry.

I still cannot figure out how to get the toolpaths to go from the donor component to the recipient component.  I have tried manipulating the setup "model", within the pattern box selecting "automatic" and manually selecting my components.. still no toolpath onto the other components.

It seems like I should be missing something simple here.. any advice?

Can you disable all the feature flags, restart Fusion and create your workflow again to see if it still fails? There may be an issue with one of them interfering with this, likely Working Model

So, this helped a little...   At this point the only one still selected was "event simulation" . I deselected, clicked ok and relaunched fusion.

I created a new file and created a successful component pattern.   YAY!

Going back through my older files from earlier this week a component pattern still doesnt work, this is even with setting up a new "setup", etc...

Does this mean that geometry created while the "event simulation" was checked is going to be blocked from a component pattern?

Hi, I was facing same problem today and I found the solution to this. When I was getting error, I was creating copies of body first using pattern and then I was converting them to components. But the working way is first create component from the body and then create its pattern. After which perform machining operation on one of the component by proper set and Voila! We can create component pattern of toolpaths.
