HELP! 3D toolpath on negative angle using T Slot bull nose.

Hi folks

 

I need your help in making a finishing toolpath. The selected blue area has a negative angle, so i want to finish it with a T shaped bull-nose but I'm not able to generate any toolpath with it. Kindly help.

Hi @MetalRipper_,

 

Do you have the extensions?

From viewing the picture the Steep & Shallow strategy will do the job for you.

But it's one of the machining extension toolpaths.

3D Contour will do the job, it also detects undercuts:

The above is just a rough toolpath, little time was spent on dialing it in.

Hi @MetalRipper_ 

 

The error is related to failure in linking (can't link some cutting paths). I can check it if you attach an example where it happens.

 

I've created derived Contour operation (as @seth.madore has suggested) using your Flow operation and specified the following machining boundaries and touch surfaces and it works for me. Please try it.

Problem solved. I looked around the forum and found a file Seth shared previously and copied the toolpath to generate mine. Yet to investigate the issue. Attached the link to my for reference
