Getting back to Fusion and some CAM questions...

Have been away from Fusion for a while and etting back to some models I created some time ago so have some things I am having some trouble with.  All of these are on CAM associated with the base part of the model.

1.  The lead in angle increases the total travel and I have a small machine near the limits on travel.  I am getting errors running it - I might be able to do some fine adjustments with placement on the machine or turn it 90 degrees to run it.  But I fiddled with lead in settings and angles and that seemed to have no effect on the tool path.  I'm obviously missing something.  Why doesn't this change or what do I do to change it?

2.  The tool lifts between passes.  I checked "keep tool down" and increased the max length to keep tool down but it still lifts.

3.  Somewhat related to 2, the tool doesn't move away from the surface for the return between passes.  This isn't really an issue but with the tool down is there a way to move the tool away from the part for non cutting moves?

1) it does effect it.

2) because of where the lead out position is - staying down violates your part. Increase the lead out, and it'd stay down - but why ?

1.  Maybe it does but I don't see that happening and just saying it does doesn't help me understand what I am seeing or how to change it.

2.  Thanks.  I will try that.  Keeping the tool down saves some time - my axis speeds are limited.

Figured out #1.  I was expecting the display to change when I entered new numbers but it doesn't change until the OK button is pressed.  I fiddled around with different numbers and both issues are much clearer now.  Seems like some things would change before hitting ok but maybe it was other functions or maybe I am wrong.

only certain things change "live" like tangential extension for example.
