G-Code Error

Hi,

When creating a G-Code for the post processor WinCNC an error occurs with curves. For example, when I am trying to make a circle (g3) is not added on line 13. This only allows the first half of the circle to be made and not the second half. When I manually add (g3) to line 13 the code runs fine. Is there something I need to change in the post processing to fix this?

Most controllers are smart enough to recognize what are called "Modal" commands. Most G codes fall into this category, and most machines don't have an issue with a single callout, just as they don't with G00 or G01.

What post processor are you using and what machine/control configuration are you running?

Open up your post processor and change this line:

var gMotionModal = createModal({}, gFormat); // modal group 1 // G0-G3, ...

to this:

var gMotionModal = createModal({force:true}, gFormat); // modal group 1 // G0-G3, ...

Modal commands are commands that stay active until a certain event, such as the command of another G code, Reset button, cycle end etc.

Im sorry, am I opening the post processor within Fusion?

Here, just use this file. Save it to your local drive or the Cloud. You will need to change the Post location though.
