Why is it late on a Friday with one project that has to be done this weekend when these things happen? Seems to be par for the course for me.
I used Fusion and posted code on 12/17/2020 with no issue. Today when I tried to post some code it does nothing. I click OK in the Post Process dialog box and it just disappears. (Yes the box is checked that says "Open NC file in editor"). I am at a loss and don't even no where to start. I have done no updates and nothing has changed on my Windows 10 PC.
THEN I noticed this. Fusion is not recognizing my USB drive. Or so I thought. I can click on it in the "Select post processor output folder" dialog box but in the large white portion of the screen where contents of that drive should show up it says "no items matched your search". This does not happen to the HDD's on my drive, they show their contents in the large white area but Fusion still refuses to post code to those drives or any others.
BUT if I click on a file folder within that drive everything changes. Fusion becomes compliant and happily posts code to the selected folder within a given drive. Even if it is a USB. Unfortunately navigating file folders on a CNC is cumbersome if possible, depending on the machine. So the workaround is to post to the folder and then drag the posted code out of the folder prior to transporting the USB to the CNC. How many times will I forget this new workaround?
NOTE when browsing the computer using windows explorer drives don't appear blank like they do through Fusion. Everything shows up like normal.
