Flattening Metal Curves for CNC Cutting

How do you flatten a compound angle such as a 1" thick by 8" wide steel figure 8 shaped part that is made in one piece? 

 

Does working in sheet metals automatically compensate for radius of the curve or spline stretching like the K factor is set for brake bending? Or is a outside service like ExactFlat need to be used?

I'm not understanding compound angle...Can you share your file or screen capture?

 

...and I believe the Exactflat add-in and service may well be abandonware.
