Error: Tool orientation is not supported.

Hi,

I am selecting a tool orientation in a machining operation in order to machine from the "backside" of my stock and model, but I am getting this error. Assuming it knows my CNC (GRBL) can't machine from under the table so to speak.

Is there a way to suppress this error. When simulating i can check "simulate without a machine" and it works, but when I try to get the post processor to generate my code, it just fails with error.

Or is the solution to create another model oriented upside down with respect to my Z axis in the model.

If your machine is 3-axis, yes, as you suggested, you need to create another setup with the correct Z orientation.  Otherwise it would output (providing your post supports multi-axis) an angle to tilt the pallet.  Tool orientation is used to output the correct angle on a multi-axis machine.
