engraving intersecting lines

Hi All,

 

I'm bit newbie, trying to engrave a name but i couldn’t figure out how to cut intersecting lines. Can you guys show me how to cut continuously. Please find attached photos to see what i mean.  Thanks in advance.

Do you want to use cutter compensation and offset by the cutter radius? Usually people use centreline cutting as it's easier to sketch.

i'm trying to make neon signage so i need 8mm centre line cut with specific 8mm bit as below.

OK, then all you need to do is set Compensation to off and it should work. You can also use trace for centreline cutting. See attached file for examples of both toolpath types.

One more bit of advice. When selecting a chain of profiles, select the first line, click a second time on the line and you get the option to add more curves to the selection.
