Disable inverse time feed

Hi Guys.

I have a Matsuura MC800VG with Nikken 4 and 5 axis. Control is Yasnac J300.

A took RS274-D Multi Axis post as base and optimized to my machine.

I have just 2 troubles

1. my machine doesn't support inverse time feed. How can I disable them?

2. I have added clamp (M21,M23) / unclamp (M22, M24) codes. For 3+2 it working nice, but for full five axis it will not work. It makes unclamp just on the prepositioning, not on move.

Thanks in advance!

Alex

Hi to disable inverse time you can comment out these sections on line 440

It will now use DPM combination which is quite good, you may need to adjust the pulse weight(ratio on line 444) to get the correct feeds on your machine.

The Clamp/ unclamps are easy to implement to just need to look for section:

case COMMAND_LOCK_MULTI_AXIS:
    writeBlock(mFormat.format(21));
    writeBlock(mFormat.format(23));
    return;
  case COMMAND_UNLOCK_MULTI_AXIS:
    writeBlock(mFormat.format(22));
    writeBlock(mFormat.format(24));
    return;

and add the write blocks there.

I see you have tried to implement them elsewhere but that isn't the correct way to do it so i have commented them out

I'm not sure if you added the

onCommand(COMMAND_UNLOCK_MULTI_AXIS);

To that section but it was now causing duplicate unlock codes so I have commented it out.

I have just seen, that B and C axis are clamping only on the same time.

It means, when i make rotation contour strategy:

1. B Axis positioning to 90 degrees

2. The part is machined by XYZ and C axis

3. B and C go home - and clamp just at this point.

Is it possible, clamp B Axis at step 2?

It may be possible but I cannot find any documentation explaining how to clamp only one axis

There is only the option to clamp/unclamp both.

I'm sure it can be done but I just don't know how to do it.
