Design to Production workflow

Bear with me as I am days new,

I just finish a assembly that I am now attempting to move into a high volume production. What is the common methodology when moving from design to production?

I need to layout multiple parts for high volume fixturing. In the past I would pull the part into a separate file for fixture and CAM but if a design change happened in the "master file, there was no way for the production file to update. I would like to be able to have that functionality but so far I have not found a way to keep the link between the two and with the way fusion works it does not seem like the best method.

Designing Fixtures and CAM inside the "master" design file seems like it would be a messy endeavor with multiple copies of components and working holding.

What is the common accepted or intended method for this inside Fusion? Do i keep everything contained to one file or can I break them into separate files but still have them linked for design revision?

Apologies in advanced, coming from designing in mastercam exclusively to this is a lot to take in. I am not even sure I am getting the vocabulary correct.

There is a new function that you will love (I think)

It's called Derive
