Define stock and CAM only an area of a previously made part.

Hi guys,

If i have a part, already machined, but, for some reason, i need to change an specific zone of it, lets say, a bore...for example, when working with steel stocks, and in order to correct or fix some aspect of a part, i can add material (by welding) in a specific part, then machining it...but only that zone. How to do this in Fusion...how to open a project and define stock for that area...and CAM only in that area?

You could make a copy of the body you're remachining and add a feature to represent the weld then select the copy in the setup. On the setup stock tab there's an option From Body under mode. Then in the ops enable rest machining from stock in the first op then rest from previous ops in any subsequent finishing ops.
