Hi there
I'm building some 3D models made of laser cut plywood. I have now all the parts copied and somewhat arranged beside the actual model, with CAM/cutting i can easily create a vector drawing to feed to the cutter.
What now doesnt really work yet is neatly arranging/nesting all the parts. All i can do is precisely align one body in relation to another body.
What i'd need to do is:
- Have a defined spacing between two bodies (this body is 2mm away from that line/body)
- make groups and align/move them or position them also with a defined spacing (select a group and then align one point of that group with another point)
- Have some guidelines or other means to represent the available (or desired) material size or size of the cutting bed
A regular nesting algorithm is probably at the moment out of reach for fusion360?
Thanks in advance!
