Is there anyway to get back to the old contour selection menu? the new one is far less effective and is time consuming to try to make work right.

also, is there any way to turn off auto updates? it seems the software keeps getting more complicated, and less efficient to use with every update.

No, reverting back to the old method of selections isn't possible, but we've heard lots of feedback from the community around this area; expect to see many improvements in this area.

There's going to be some improvements as well to the update process. Stay tuned for more details!

(Just to preface this, I know how annoying it is adding genuinely better features for a product, just for people to hate them because they hate change).

That being said:
I know this would be a lot of work, but you'd spend a lot less time with slow adopters if you had a 4 channel update system:
Channel 1: Locked in stone. You get the product as it is today, forever.

Channel 2: LTS. 1 update every year

Channel 3: Current. Updates every couple of months.

Channel 4: Bleeding edge(currently called insider).

Obviously any support could only be given to current channel. This would come with a big red warning on channels 1 and 2 about lack of support.
