Hello!
This could be my mistake, as this is my first programmed part in Fusion. I'd like to limit the tool to only machine the surface I've selected, instead of wrapping around the corners. I have only done programming in Powermill before, and turning off "roll over" when making selected surface boundaries usually accomplishes this. The tooltips seem to indicate that this is what I should expect, but it's not working for me!

It’s kind of hard to tell from the screen shots what’s selected and what isn’t along with all your settings. Can you export your part as a .f3d file and either post it here of email it to cam.support@autodesk.com

Thanks for replying! I attached the .f3d file to this post. The toolpath in question is .25 ball finish. I'm working on the "Top" component.

All you need to do is turn off the contact point boundary option.

While I don't understand why turning the Contact Point Boundary off would cause that result, that improves the sides of the model. Is there any way to prevent the tool from machining down to the bottom of the inside of the part? There's a good chance it would negatively affect the internal wall finish, and this is what I am concerned with more than machine time.

You should be able to select that bottom face as an avoid surface. Touch/Avoid surfaces are at the bottom of the geometry selection tab.

I have submitted this on ticket CAM-2412. The only thing I can see to avoid the issue would be to create a sketch (easier than picking edges on this one) and use that as use that as your boundaries.
