Hello
I've question regarding facing the second side of a part.
I machine a part and flip it over for the second op. Most of the time I use a normal facing operation. Problem is that the stock on top will be ripped of the part once the stock gets too thin (the stock left where I clamped the part in the first op). Resulting in some stock flying trough the machine and a squeaking sound. I can minimize it with a lower DOC. But it's not a solution.
I was curious of it's possible to do a easy facing operation, but that starts from the outside of the part and moves inside. It needs to move circular to the middle of the part. This way there will be no stock being ripped from the part or wrapped around my endmill (been there done that).
The build in facing operation only does straight lines for facing.
