Cannot copy tool between projects

Hello, I do not seem to be able to copy tools between projects. I have both projects open, and can see both sets of tools, but the copying either by control-c/control-v or dragging fails. See video below.

Any ideas?

Interesting, can you share your files? Right click on them and select "Share Public Link".

I'm curious if this is a Mac specific issue..

No problem,

It seems like it may be a bug. I am unable to replicate it on windows, maybe its osx specific. Have you tried restarting Fusion by any chance?

Thanks,

Matt

Sometimes the right-click dropdown is disabled when I open tool library for the first time, I have to right-click on some other tools before enabling the functions, not sure why?

First time opening tool library:

After right-clicking on other tools:

Has this been solved? I am not able to copy and paste tools from one project to another either. Used to be able to drag and drop or copy and paste and now can't do either.

I just tried this and it worked for me. Are you able to do a screencast or other video of what you're seeing? I don't expect drag and drop to work, only right-click Copy/paste.

Thanks,

  Jeff

Actually I can't. I just went to do the screen cast and it worked fine! I have tried this several times over the last few weeks and it hasn't worked. Nothing I did got it to work. When I posted earlier it wasn't working and I didn't restart or anything. I don't understand it.

It would be nice if the drag and drop worked though, but that's nothing to worry about.

I have tried repeatedly to use both ctrl C and the right click Copy Tools options to then paste into Excel as has been possible before.  I cannot copy my tool library and paste it outside of Fusion.

@s.hanifan the issue you are raising is not the same issue being discussed in this thread. To prevent a sidetracking of the issue raised by the OP, I suggest starting a new thread and supplying as much detail as possible.

The original post refers to copy and paste between two active Fusion documents, not Fusion and Excel
