Can't create radius on back of slot on a shaft

Help customer has decided that the inside of slots going around O/D of shaft should have a .3mm radius. I am unable to create a toolpath that will work. I have a 4mm lollipop cutter to use and it is going on a 4axis Haas slot section.png

Hi ian.stanyon,

I think I've figured out a solution to your problem.

I got it to work by using the blend toolpath, and more specifically by setting 'stepover calculation' to 'on surface' on the passes tab.

I've attached your model with working toolpaths.

The toolpaths might look a little glitchy, but I think that's just due to the fillets not ending at a consistent angle due to them being in an inside radius.

that makes it so the tool can reach a variable amount of the fillet depending on the position.

I hope that makes sense, and I hope my solution helps you.
