CAM Turning x tool post in wrong direction

Hello

I am relatively new to CAM turning and am in the process of setting up my system for CAM programing.

We have a Lynx 300 turning center. I am using the Doosan Fanuc Processor

As you can see  in the picture below the tool orientation is wrong and supposed to come from the back.

I tried different settings but am not able to turn the direction of the cut.

I would appreciate any help and guidance.

Thanks

Is this a "slant bed" lathe with the tools fitted in the turret with the tips facing downward as in the image below (Usual configuration for a slant bed), if yes then just go into your Setup and "flip" the X axis direction and also go to your Tool setup and set it to 0 Degrees and set the spindle direction to "Clockwise" as in the second image.

Thank you for the fast reply.

I did the changing what you suggested.

It works, except now the spindle is running in the wrong direction. Do I need to correct the spindle in the post processor?

What do you get in your code, do you get M3 or M4 ?

Looking at the spindle from the back it should be running Clockwise, not looking at the Chuck.

Maybe a photo of your Lathe showing the layout might help.

If you use the MDI and program a spindle speed and an M3 the spindle should run Clockwise looking from the back of the spindle.

Thanks. It worked.

I didn't realized that I need to look at the spindle from the back.
