CAM Operation for surface treatment

Hello,

I have the following CAM related problem:

I have constructed a structure as seen in my upload file and I want to mill it from wood.

The holes are removed first by a 2D outline operation. Then I want to shape the surface. Whatever operation I use, the holes are again milled, I just want the to stay on the surface (because of a shorter production time and better surface quality). Is there any way to achieve that? I tried many options but did not get the expected result.

Thank you very much in advance!

Jonas

Few options:

1) You can use "Touch/Avoid" to keep the tool only on the surfaces you want

2) Duplicate the model, remove all the holes from it, select that model in your toolpath in the "Model" selection

3) Create Patch surfaces over the holes, selecting those in your Toolpath "Model" selection

If none of those answer your problem, could you share your Fusion file here?
File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply
