Bringing Changes in the Manufacturing Workspace back to the Design Workspace?

I have some model changes that are probably best accomplished in the Manufacture Workspace, e.g. tracing spline curves to create an artistic engraving on a flat surface. How can I get Manufacturing changes back  into the Design Workspace?

You cannot. Manufacturing Models and the changes you perform to them do not/cannot flow back to the Design Space
