Back to the bad old days of a crash every five minutes

Anyone else crashing and crashing and crashing? I do a chamfer it crashes, I try and do a flat finish and it crashes. I breathe it crashes, I think I might want a cup of tea it crashes.
I thought fusion had left these days behind but it seems it wants to revisit them.

Let me go back to a previous version.

Nope still doing it.
Toggled those things like you asked, ran a simulation and as soon as the simulation finished it crashed.

Coincident with the latest September update I too began suffering spontaneous and numerous crashes. There seemed to be no key stroke pattern or work flow that I could identify that was causing the crashes. Frequency was high and random. One thing that was common was that the crashes all happened in Manufacturing, in my case, in Mill/Turn. Crashes were happening several times per day and began to get very frustrating. I think I solved my issues when after a search, i found this link https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Fusion-360-is-cras... where, among other fixes that didn't work, also suggested that clearing the cache might work. This is the link that describes how to clear the cache https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-clear-local....   After clearing the cache, the rest of the day was trouble free.

@seth.madore Is there any updates on this? Or at least is there light somewhere in this tunnel? Do the Dev's have any idea whats causing it? It's starting to really be a grind

@seth.madore
I don't think I posted the second crash. Here it is
So I've now cleared the cache, updated the OS, and am running the next update since the first one started these issues.

@seth.madore Wiped my rMBP the day Sequoia released publicly. Since updating to Sequoia Fusion's been more unstable than normal but ever since the very last Fusion update from a week or two ago Fusion crashes ~10 times a day every day.

Usually just clicking on an item in the browser or once I paste a toolpath/setup Fusion crashes.

Fusion also crashes after the beach ball of death goes away after starting a toolpath simulation and after the beach ball of death goes after closing a toolpath simulation. No more than usual though. I also do not have the "In-Process Stock - Mesh Check Safety" setting to turn off:

Ran service utility, restored settings to default. I'm assuming if I clear my cache the items I have in "My Recent Data" project will be wiped but won't delete any tool libraries stored locally or post processors stored in the "Assets" project folder?

- Apple M1 Max rMBP A2485 // Latest MacOS // Latest Fusion
- Usually working off files uploaded to Fusion as: Step, STL, SLDPRT. If it matters ask me.

@FrodoLoggins:
1) The Optional Feature is the category above, sorry. I've updated my image above to point at the right row. You should find the Mesh Safety Check there instead

2) Deleting the Cache will only (IIRC) remove commands that are "stuck" and the cache of recent documents (and those stored offline). Local libraries (you would be better served with cloud libraries, but that's a different discussion for another thread) and post processors should remain uneffected

This should probably be made a sticky or better  you guys should announce that there’s a bad issue with older MacBooks and fusion at the moment.
I’m sure there’s loads of people out there with M1 MacBooks who are suffering similar issues. Having a thread front and center for people to get updates would be useful. As it stands this thread doesn’t even mention Mac in the title. Though you’ve said in emails that this is becoming a more noticeable thing with crash reports

Some of the crash reports we have coming in do point to something unique; Machining Time calculation. Could you try turning that off and seeing if behavior improves?

I'm assuming you're referring to this setting?:

If so I've had that setting off.

In all honesty it updated today and touch wood I haven't had a crash since then. So I'll run it like this for a while to try not to tempt fate but if it starts again then I'll toggle that off.
