In the sample tool library for ANSI Inch Taps, everything is metric.

That need some work, the library is adding the M to the sizes incorrectly. The sizes seem correct though, look at this example for a 5/16 18tpi.

As Mark explained, I (we) have complained about the 'M' and designation system currently being used. If you go to the column heading, grab the split between Name and Cutting Diameter and slide to the right you will see the inch designations for the taps. Really odd that this is not a problem in HSMWorks and Inventor HSM, but shows up here in such form Smiley Frustrated
