5 Axis Waterjet cutting

I've just been trying to generate tool paths for 5 axis water jet cutting.

At first glance, there is no option for this in Fusion 360, so I tried with swarf cutting, but it does not seem to be a suitable approach.

Is it currently possible to produce 5 axis water jet paths in Fusion 360?

How is it achieved?

Unfortunately, there is no support for 5-axis waterjet in Fusion 360 CAM at the moment. I've been told that it might be possible to apply it in the controller, but you have to check that with the manufacturer of it.

If this is a feature you think we should add, please add it in our idea station.

What a bummer, isn't it very common to have more than 3 axis on a waterjet? 😞 Thanks for the update!

Yes, yes it is. Same can be said for laser and plasma machines.

We have had some discussions around this improvement, but thus far, nothing has made it onto our near term roadmap (to my knowledge)
