4th axis simultanious tool path producing scrap again!

Hi, I have programmed a part using Fusion 360 to cut double sided J slots in an oil & gas part. Everything in Fusion looks perfect with no gouges in the simulation. However when I run the simulation on the machine it shows a dig in! I have tried using a 

NC plotter which also shows a dig in! Is this another problem with the Kernel which should have been fixed on the couple of updates ago? I have had issues in the past where what fusion does in the simulation is not always what it does in the code that fusion produces. I have the part on the machine now waiting to cut it plus various other parts. I need this problem fixed ASAP as time is money and we have no slack with us being a start up!

Hi @michaelthompson83,

 

Fusion360 does not produce g-code, the used post processor does it.

 

I think fusion360 is not using the post processor output to run the simulation. Please correct me if am wrong.

Fusion shows the tool path with the internal CAM data it has. When you post the data the written g-code depends on what the post processor outputs.

 

So if the internal simulation and the real world differs it's almost the post processor.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the replies. I tried to delete this post but could not figure out how to. The program was actually fine. Everything ran perfectly. This was actually a graphics error on the control of the CNC machine and NC plotter which did not show the 4th axis simultaneous movements. So there was actually no did in. I thought this was a repeat of the kernel bug that fusion had 3 month ago which is fixed now.
