Hello,

is it possible to do round V-carving on round surfaces? Cylinder or cone.

I know you can do a lot with a ballnose, but i am interested in V tool using on difficult surfaces, varying depht according to the width needed to be cut. I add some photos below ( it is not the exact thing that i am willing to accomplish, but just an examples)   Thank you

All easily done with simple indexing and wrap toolpaths, image one would not need a V tool, image two are simple straight gear cuts with a v tool and image three again an easy 4th axis job, just Sketch lines using say the Trace toolpath.

None of it is what is called "Engrave" in Fusion but unless you can upload an actual Fusion file as an example not going to be any actual examples for you. Actual Solid Model is best, try to stay away from Mesh/stl files they are not as easy to work with 🙂

To upload a Fusion f3d file go to :-

File > Export > Select f3d format > Save to a location on your computer > Then attach to you reply
