3D Print units default

I do most of my designs in inches then 3D print to Cura. The 3d Print utility defaults to whatever unit the source design uses but Cura always expects millimeters for the STL model it imports. Is there a way to set the default units for the 3D Print utility to be fixed to millimeters?

As far as I know, you can not default the units to mm with save as mesh it will use whatever the workspaces is set to, the easy way would be to work in MM only since it is the best system on the plant to use aka first to spaces units😂

Working in mm might be the best overall solution but it isn't practical in my case. I'll just continue to manually set the units in the 3D Print utility. When I forget, I am reminded by Cura as it auto scales by a ridiculous value like 10000X and it is obvious what I did wrong.

I have the same problem.  It used to default to the last selected, now it matches the manufacturing units.  This changed with one of the last updates.  Another example of a change that was made for uniformity not usability.

Any remaining reason not to use 3MF as downstream mesh transfer format?

I didn't see your question and while this issue was posted last year, it is still an issue for me and when I came to see if there had been anything done on this I saw your post. The reason STL is used, it is the default for the Make 3d Print tool in F360. I started to click around and saw the icon in the Make menu with a 1 in a circle. I clicked on it and got a menu that says EDIT GLOBAL SETTINGS. Under Units there is a dropdown box for Units which says "Convert from inch to" which says "Inch" but when I choose Millimeter (which seems like what I want) the Save button remains grayed out. So I am still where I am and it isn't a tragedy but I often do forget to change units and have to close Cure and re-export the model.

It would be really nice to have it remember last selected like it did back in August 2021.

Thanks Fusion Team!

Hadn't 3D printed in awhile; it appears that last selected units is now remembered although preview mesh no longer remembers last selected.
