2d Contour Toolpath fail

Hello,

So I have a Outside profile that I contoured with a 1/4 inch EM, There's a .04 radii on the profile that needs to be rest machined.

Chose the 1/16 EM to rest machine, Problem is when I try to give multiple roughing passes at .025 and a finishing pass of .0015 with a depth of cut of .025. Finishing on each depth.

For some reason it is only giving me finishing passes and its appropriate stepover. It's failing hard, I can't seem to get a roughing pass of .025 with a finishing pass of .0015.

For this instance, it's ok since it's ABS plastic, but if it were aluminum I would not be a happy fusion 360 customer.

Any thoughts on how to resolve this issue would be much appreciated.

Also, I am coming in with a 1/32 EM to finish it up, for some reason that tool seems to deal with the roughing passes and finishing pass just fine. Toolpath is good. Operation is duplicated as well.

Well that .STEP file isn't going to do a lot of good since it doesn't contain any of your programming.

That said, I would suggest turning off Multiple Finish Passes if you only want one. My guess is that the reason you're getting only two passes is because you're using Rest Machining and the software just figures there isn't enough material. Try increasing the Rest limit until you get what you want. It's not the best way.

If you want someone to look at the file itself I'd suggest going to File > Export > Save as .F3D and attach that file here.

Nvmd, had to de-select the edge and reselect without rest machine turned on. Everything is fine now, just needed to turn off Rest Mach
