2D Chamfer avoiding fixtures

2D Chamger is a nice operation and quite special it seems by being also model aware. I like how it avoids parts of the target edges in order to avoid collisions.

But is there something I can do to also make it avoid/ship over "fixture" bodies?

I think you need to set "retract" and "clearance" height above any obstacles you need to avoid and "feed in" height above detail being machined and also use full retract in linking tab.

Yes, I can take steps to avoid it. However, what I am after here is to have the toolpath cover as much as it can of my workpiece while skipping the area(s) it cannot reach.

I'm guessing this is not possible, just looking for a confirmation.

2D Chamfer will machine any edge that is selected, and avoid vertical walls or any other gouge. That said, things get a bit more tricky when fixtures are thrown into the mix. You can use the "Model" selection in the toolpath to also include fixtures, and it should pick those up:

I tried this in the project shared on the other thread (setup 3) and it did not work.

So, tool path is designed to avoid vertical walls but not clamps,........... comes down to you managing what gets cut on first attempt, position clamps strategically to complete as much wok as possible, than relocate clamps and cut the rest.
