2D Adaptive Toolpath Going Outside Chain

I am trying to use a 2D adaptive toolpath to rough the radius on the part attached below. It works on one side, but the other side overruns the extents of the chain.

I tried switching left and right, but the issue seems to follow the WCS location and not the model orientation.

I can certainly reproduce this. This certainly is an odd one....

Trying to program them both in one toolpath results in Fusion crashing. This (the crashing) is a known bug that should be fixed in a future release. I think the best solution at the moment is to create an axis that's smack dab in the middle of the part (turns out your Z origin is ideal) and use a Pattern > Rotate to duplicate the toolpath.

Works OK if you just select the full contour, it is Adaptive so will only toolpath where there is excess material ie at the ends of the model. File attached

Very good! I was thinking about it from the OP's point of view, perhaps he had a reason to do them separately? But certainly, leverage the power of the toolpath (when it decides to cooperate!)

@seth.madore  Thank you! I am oddly relieved this is a software error, I thought I was going crazy for a while.

@Anonymous Thanks for thinking outside the box. I was so caught up in trying to solve the one issue, I did forget about the properties of Adaptive.

There was a manufacturing reason I did this in two separate toolpaths (I redacted and simplified the actual part to just show the error). But I have some ideas to move forward now.

Im saying that I appreciate that you put some thought into the issue, but I
do need the toolpaths on separate operations, so I will need to work around
the bug.
