2D adaptive ignoring stock?

Hello,

I've been having this issue with 2D adaptive where it seems to ignore the stock and instead of helixing down into the material, it simply plunges right into the stock and does rapids through the stock. The cut itself looks normal, but it seems to forget where the stock is at. See attached file for a screen capture of my issue.

Thanks in advance,

B. S.

You need to post the model so your selection can be looked at, To do this Go to File -> Export and save as a .F3D Archive File and attach it to your next post.

2D adaptive isn't model stock aware. Try selecting the region using 3D adaptive and it should helix in. You may have to create a containment sketch. Alternatively, pre-drill the entrance location.
