2D Adaptive fails to generate toolpath

Whenever I try to use a 2D Adaptive toolpath, even to simply rough the end of a part, it fails to generate a toolpath.

The error it gives is Error: Failed to evaluate expression for parameter Calculation Tolerance and  Error: Failed to write Job File.

I've tried changing the cutting and smoothing tolerances to various values, using fixed values for all of the settings in the 2D adaptive dialogue box instead of my usual expressions (such as tool_diameter * 0.05), even settings that I'm not using, switching to a different tool.  I've tried to do other pockets on the part with the same result.

I use 2D Adaptives all the time to do what I'm trying to do.  It seems as though an update broke something.  There are no values in the options of the adaptive dialogue box that are red indicating an invalid number and I have changed nothing since the last time I programmed a part with an adaptive successfully a few weeks ago.  Any ideas?

Right click on your toolpath and select Compare and Edit. Type in the words "Calculation Tolerance". What is that value set to? What happens if you change the value to a lower one. With a toolpath tolerance of .002" (as shown in your image), I'd expect to see .001".

Would you be able to share your Fusion file here?
File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d/.f3z file in your reply.

It's possible that an update may have scrambled some of your "hidden" default values. It's possible for another user (such as myself) to provide you back with a working toolpath and for you to right click on toolpath and "Save Parameters as Default".

Thank you for the quick reply Seth.

When I select Compare and Edit and look for the Calculation Tolerance parameter, I see it's red, with a value of "tolerance-surfaceTolerance".  When I change the value to 0.001" it was able to successfully generate a toolpath as expected.

I would bet that you're correct in saying that an update scrambled some of the hidden default values.  I have saved my current parameters as default so I should be good to go now.

Thanks again for your help Seth!
